A person appointed under the Uniform Gift of Minors Act (also used interchangeably with the name Uniform Transfers to Minors Act), who has a fiduciary position over assets for the benefit of a minor. The custodian can use the property for the benefit of the minor child including for the minor’s health, education, or other support. Court does not supervise the custodian.
